OUR STORY

TWO RESTAURANTS. ONE ROOF. A WHOLE LOT TO LOVE.

Somewhere between breakfast and dinner, Angel’s Biscuit Co. becomes Emily.

By day, Angel’s serves up house-made biscuits, coffee, and craveable breakfast fare. Come evening, the lights go down and Emily takes over with Detroit-style square pizza, burgers, cocktails, and the spirit of its New York City sister restaurant, Pizza Loves Emily.

FROM NEW YORK TO WEST ASHLEY

The Emily story started in Manhattan’s West Village, where Emily Hyland and chef Matt Hyland opened Pizza Loves Emily in 2014. What began as a neighborhood pizzeria grew into a few different restaurants, including Emmy Squared, which brought their take on Detroit-style square pizza and burgers to cities across the country.

Now, that story continues in Charleston.

Partner Howard Greenstone brought the concept to West Ashley, choosing Avondale for its unmistakable neighborhood feel. And the location has a little history of its own: Angel’s & Emily calls The Victory building home, a space originally built in the 1950s as Rodenburg’s Grocery Store.

A LITTLE BIT OF MORNING. A LITTLE BIT OF NIGHT.

Angel’s and Emily were made to live under one roof.

Start your day with a biscuit. Come back for a square. Stay for a cocktail.

Wake up for Angel’s. Stay out for Emily.
